Hi,
After last week problems, I took myself together and start from the beginning. :) This week was nice, not ideal, but nice. :) I made art for Gnomon contest, I received an invitation for art test (and I made drawing for it, now I have to send it). I also made drawing for Character Design Challenge, but I'm not happy with the result. I decided that from now I will not take short cuts if I don't like what I made I will redraw it. It should help me to improve quicker and think more about the quality I want to have. Tomorrow I will redesign my Mongolian eagle hunter. :)
I want to take part in one more contest. After that, I will take the time to improve my portfolio. I want to make new sections, prepare two special projects and change domain.:) I also want to start selling some of my drawings, so soon I will be giving more information about that.
Maybe I will say something about drawing below. This is my entry for Gnomon's contest named Upside down, which was inspired by The Stranger Things. In the first season, there was a second plan character named Barb. She was captured and imprisoned in the Upside Down, and she died there. I was thinking about what will happen to her if she not died, but morph and became a new creature of this dark world. So I mix her with Demogorgons, and that's how The Queen of Slugs was born. :)
As you see, this time, I try to be more realistic. I used a lot of photos of meat to gave her some nice textures. Now I see that few things I should to correct, but overall I'm happy with the result. :) This drawing I wanted to put in last week post, but then I had the only raw sketch.
One more thing, I start to experiment with videos, so soon I will be putting accelerated videos of my drawing process on YouTube. I think that it can be something interesting.
